Huawei Mate 80 may launch ahead of schedule in October! Debuting HarmonyOS 6.0 + Kirin 9030 chip, featuring under-display 3D facial recognition and ultra-narrow bezel flat display, with comprehensive upgrades in battery life and imaging. Set to become the most anticipated domestic flagship of 2025.

The standard Mate 80 will feature a 6.74-inch OLED flat display, supporting side-mounted ultrasonic fingerprint recognition and ToF 3D facial unlock. It is expected to be powered by the Kirin 9020S chip paired with the native HarmonyOS 6.0 system, significantly enhancing smoothness and security. This combination effortlessly handles daily scenarios such as office work, communication, and entertainment.
The higher-tier Mate 80 Pro and Pro+ models will deliver even more extreme visual breakthroughs. Both models abandon curved screens in favor of the more popular 2.5D Tandem OLED flat display. For the first time, they incorporate a hairline-thin ultra-narrow bezel process, with bezel width controlled to an astonishing sub-1mm, visually achieving a near "bezel-less" effect.
More notably, the Pro+ version is expected to debut Huawei’s self-developed under-display 3D structured light technology, completely eliminating screen cutouts and delivering an immersive full-frontal screen experience. This positions it as the industry’s first true "full-screen" flagship smartphone.
In imaging, the entire Mate 80 series will feature second-generation Maple Leaf Color cameras with up to 2 million multi-spectral acquisition channels, dramatically improving color accuracy. The Pro+ model will further boast a 50MP LOFIC ultra-large main sensor with variable aperture, capable of producing richly detailed, low-noise images in both low-light and high-contrast scenarios.
For core performance, the Mate 80 Pro/Pro+ will run on the Kirin 9030 chip with an integrated next-gen modem. Significant improvements in CPU/GPU performance, network speed, and stability ensure smooth handling of high-load scenarios like gaming, multitasking, and live streaming.

However, powerful performance brings thermal challenges. Huawei addresses this with a triple cooling solution: micro-pump liquid cooling + VC vapor chamber + graphene, combined with HarmonyOS 6.0’s AI temperature control algorithm. This balances high performance with low-temperature operation.
In ecosystem development, HarmonyOS 6.0 has achieved deep adaptation for most mainstream apps, matching Android and iOS in functionality and compatibility. Users need not worry about software experience issues.
Battery life sees a major upgrade: all models feature 6,000mAh+ high-silicon anode batteries, delivering over 20 hours of heavy usage. Support for 100W+ wired fast charging and high-power wireless charging eliminates battery anxiety.
