According to the latest news, the Huawei Mate 80 series is confirmed to be officially launched this month. This launch will cover four models: Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 Master, comprehensively meeting the needs of different user groups for high-end smartphones.
In terms of color options, the standard version of the Mate 80 offers three classic colors: Obsidian Black, Snow White, and Cloud Green, while the Pro version and above offer eight colors including Dawn Gold and Aurora Blue to satisfy diverse aesthetic preferences.

Storage configurations have been fully upgraded, with high-end models supporting up to 24GB + 2TB.
In terms of storage configuration, the standard Mate 80 continues the previous generation's three combinations: 12GB + 256GB/512GB/1TB. The Mate 80 Pro adds two higher-end versions: 16GB + 512GB/1TB, to meet the needs of multitasking and large data storage.

To compete with Apple's top-of-the-line iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Mate 80 Pro+ and Master Edition further enhance hardware, offering four top-tier storage combinations: 16GB+512GB/1TB and 24GB+1TB/2TB, providing ample performance for professional users and tech enthusiasts.

The screen and materials have undergone a complete evolution, resulting in a dual improvement in both visual appeal and tactile feel.
In terms of screen, the standard and Pro versions feature a 6.75-inch 2.5D OLED flat screen, supporting ToF 3D face recognition and side ultrasonic fingerprint recognition. The Pro+ and Master models, on the other hand, are equipped with a 6.89-inch Tandem dual-layer OLED 4D screen, complemented by an ultra-narrow bezel design, significantly improving the screen-to-body ratio.

In terms of body materials, the standard and Pro versions use a combination of third-generation Kunlun glass, titanium alloy frame, and aluminosilicate glass cover; the Pro+ and Extraordinary Master versions are upgraded to third-generation basalt tempered Kunlun glass and a one-piece molded aluminum alloy frame, and the back cover is expected to continue to use ceramic material, taking into account both texture and durability.

Another breakthrough in imaging systems: the primary color sensor for red maple leaves has been upgraded to the second generation.
The imaging system is the focus of this upgrade. All models feature a centrally located star-ring design for the rear camera module, integrating the main camera, telephoto lens, ultra-wide-angle lens, and multispectral red-maple primary color camera. The main camera is a 50MP 1/1.28-inch large sensor, supporting LOFIC ray tracing technology and a physical variable aperture, along with OIS+EIS dual image stabilization for more stable low-light shooting.

The telephoto lens features a 48MP periscope structure, supporting 3.5x optical zoom and an RYYB sensor; the ultra-wide-angle lens is equipped with a 48MP freeform surface anti-distortion lens. The Red Maple Original Color camera has been upgraded to the second generation, featuring 2 million multispectral channels, and its color reproduction capabilities rival those of professional SLR cameras.

With deep integration of chip and system, HarmonyOS 6.0 brings a brand new experience.
In terms of core configuration, the standard version of the Mate 80 is equipped with the Kirin 9020S chip, while the Pro version and above use the Kirin 9030 processor, which integrates a new generation modem. Combined with the deep optimization of the HarmonyOS 6.0 system, it achieves a significant improvement in performance and network speed, and is expected to surpass the iPhone 17 Pro in terms of user experience.
Price and release time
It is reported that the starting prices for the Mate 80 series are 5499 yuan (standard version), 6499 yuan (Pro version), 8499 yuan (Pro+ version), and 11999 yuan (Master Edition), with the top-of-the-line price slightly higher than its predecessor.
